The music from the opening of The Avengers is a upbeat tune which reflects the time on 1960's being the year of fun and experimental music, being shown by The Beatles.
It also suggest a crime drama by the slow yet enticing beat that can be heard while sexy pictures of Diana Rigg can be shown thus attracting the mass male audience.

The typography graphics are bold which mirrors the new funky era in 1960 as being more 'bold' than the past times because of war made it boring. However, it can also infer that the technology wasn't advanced so the quality wasn't as good as our quality today.

The term, 'Teleplay' is a script used within the making of a TV show or movie for example and is mostly seen in stand alone production. I think The Avengers is called that is because they need a script so it can suitable for the viewers and agree with their believes- such as white characters only and no homosexual acts.

The music has been edited to link with the music to interest the audience as the tune is upbeat to match the times of the swinging 60s and the editing is short and quick to keep the viewers involved throughout.

The props use at the end are used to tell the audience that type of show it is and to intrigue them to continue watching as it is a change from the old shows as well as the body language of Diana Rigg is that she is below Patrick Macnee which conveys the difference between men and women- the audience would pot this and agree as this is what they are used to.
